I could not just have my nephew on my lap-- I had to have Riggins AND my nephew using up the small amount of real estate.
Even now, if I'm cuddling with among the kids, Riggins has to join in. If we are on the couch together, he will plop down across our laps, a move that tickles my niece to pieces. If the humans are napping, Riggins will jump up to put himself into a human sandwich.
2. Morning cuddles
My child boy does not sleep on the bed all night. He will hop up when he wishes to snuggle and be close. Normally this takes place in the morning, right after he has actually consumed breakfast. He lies down on his side of the bed, with his head on the pillow like he is human. I'll snuggle up behind him. 5. A dash of separation anxiety

Even when he is with people he really enjoys, like his granny and grandpa, I'm told he spends the very first part of our separation waiting by the door for my return.
As soon as I had to leave town for a last-minute work journey. My regular sitters, my folks, ran out town, which left me searching frantically for last-minute accommodations for my sweet baby kid. He ended up investing the night with my friends, a couple Riggins has actually known for years and the parents of his best doggy pal.
